Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To request a return, refund or exchange, your items(s) must be in the same condition as they were shipped, unworn or unused, with tags/pricing stickers if attached, and in the original packaging.  You will need your receipt as proof of purchase.  Note: if there is damage to the product or container via shipping, or the shipment is for some delayed significantly delayed in its delivery once it has been shipped to you, then it is your legal obligation to look to the shipper (for example Canada Post or UPS) who has been paid for the safe and timely delivery of your item(s) and has the legal and business obligation to do so.  Once the items you have purchased have been delivered by Range Sports Inc. to your chosen shipping service, and you have received notification that the shipper has received and/or shipped your product, you will receive a tracking number for your shipment from that shipping service.  Keep your tracking number issued by the shipping service until you have received your shipment and verified the condition of the same, as it is the SHIPPER’S legal responsibility for the timely delivery and good condition of that package, not that of Range Sports Inc.  The payment for shipping of your items is paid directly to the Shipping service you have selected via Shopify, the platform upon which we operate the store, at the time of your transaction/purchase.  Range Sports Inc. does NOT receive that money or profit from it. The shipping service does.  

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@rangesports.ca. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

 It is NOT the legal responsibility of Range Sports Inc. to ensure the timely and safe delivery of your product, it is the Shipping Service that you have paid to do so, in their advertised capacity as a for profit, professional and guaranteed shipping service that is bonded.  Once you have received your tracking number for that shipment from the shipping service, it is also YOUR personal responsibility, not that of Range Sports Inc., to track the progress and ultimate receipt of your items, as well as the overall product / item condition that may have ensued during/from the shipping process.  It is also your personal responsibility as the paid customer of that shipping service to report any issues directly to the same via the contact mechanisms they provide you at the time of shipping, and to request a solution/remuneration DIRECTLY from the SHIPPING SERVICE for any potential issues /damages incurred to the items that occurred during their shipping process, or in regard to a late/failed delivery of your items.  YOU have paid the SHIPPING SERVICE in anticipation of a timely and safe delivery of your items, and to which it is THEY that GUARANTEE the same, and it is THEY who must address any and all issues related to the shipping services to your satisfaction, including remuneration for or replacement of items damaged while in their care and service delivery.  This is STANDARD policy for any company that is shipping via third party professional services such as Canada Post and others. 

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AND RETURNS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

In the event of a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT that has been shipped to you by Range Sports Inc. as we at that time unknowingly shipped your new items that we had received from the supplier that were assumed to be in good working order, you can start a return by contacting us at info@rangesports.ca or sales@rangesports.ca . Please note: that if the product shipped to you is defective as shipped by the factory or our supplier, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your item(s) back.  At that time you can receive a full refund of your purchase, or have us ship you a replacement item(s) at our cost. YOU must contact us in this regard and have us agree to accept the return for this process to happen. If you do NOT have Range Sports Inc. accept the return in advance, and notify you of the same, your return will NOT be accepted.  PLEASE NOTE: if you have inadvertently ordered the wrong item(s) from the store menu, or mistakenly ordered one product you confused for another, or you find the same at a lower price elsewhere and simply want to return the item(s), Range Sports Inc. WILL provide you with a full refund of your product cost, but we will NOT refund the cost of shipping the product to you or back to us.  We do not get paid for the shipping, nor do we profit from the same.  If you have selected a product that for any reason you do not want, but we have in good faith provided it to without any profit from shipping, but incurring our own costs related to packaging and product fulfillment on our side, then we cannot afford to pay for your error in product selection. We operate on very tight margins, and do not operate our own shipping fleet. So please ensure that you order the correct products you actually want to receive in good condition!

EXCEPTIONS / NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Certain types of products by their nature cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (such as flowers, plants, etc.) and customized products.  Custom products include by definition those that we have special ordered from a supplier or manufacturer on your direct behalf, or items that you have ordered that have been personalized or customized in any way on your behalf.  We cannot accept returns on sale items or gift card purchases.

REFUND METHODOLOGY

Once you have requested a refund on a product, and that refund notice is accepted by Range Sports Inc. based on the specific terms outlined prior in this Policy document, send the product back to us in the manner agreed to (with a pre-paid shipping label if the product shipped was defective, or at your own cost if you have made a purchase error or simply decide you do not want the product). Once Range Sports Inc. has received and inspected the condition of the product and the original packaging, we will immediately notify you as to whether the refund is approved or not, and if not, what the issue is.  If approved, you will automatically be refunded on your original payment method. Please remember that is can take some time for your own bank or credit card company  to process and post the refund to your account or credit card.  

PRE-PAID ORDER POLICY

Range Sports Inc. has some types of products that we simply cannot keep in stock due to supply chain issues that have plagued the industry since COVID times interrupted the global supply channels.  This includes things like certain types of bullets, primers and powder.  Range Sports Inc. very often has a waiting list for such products with our repeat and top customers.  Many of these customers opt to ‘pre-pay’ for the products and shipping so that they are guaranteed a supply of the same when our allotted shipment arrives from manufacturers and suppliers, as we never know ‘how much’ of our requested order they can or will provide us.  We generally don’t recommend to customers that they pre-order unless we have made our own order, and have been told by our suppliers they expect 30 days or less until delivery.  Even then, there is no guarantee that our orders will arrive in the time they specify or the volume they promise.  That is the current state of the industry for everyone.  So if you have pre-ordered and pre-paid to guarantee you will get the items you want when we receive them, please be patient.  We always aim for 30 days or less, but cannot control us.  You can always email us at:  info@rangesports.ca to find out what is going on with the order.  Rest assured that if our supplier shorts us on the order, and we cannot supply your order…we will give you a full refund on your order and shipping pre-paid.

ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY AT TIME OF PURCHASE AND WAIVER OF SHIPPING LIABILITY

At the time the customer selects products /items from the Range Sport Inc. online store, which is built on and hosted by Shopify, a Canadian e-commerce platform company, upon posting the order and receiving notice from the system that the order has been processed, accepted and the payment method validated, the customer acknowledges and understands that they have at that time legally accepted the following:

Customer acknowledges and agrees that once Range Sport Inc. has dropped off/delivered to the designated shipper selected and agreed to during the customer online purchase process (such as Canada Post, UPS or others recognized and bonded for profit shipping services in Canada and internationally) the items that have been ordered and paid for by the customer, that at that point in time, Range Sports Inc. accepts no more legal or financial liability for the shipment of the items ordered on a timely basis or to the accurate location of the purchaser, as provided by the customer. These liabilities lie solely with the shipping service/agent (for example, Canada Post, UPS, or others) that have been selected and agreed to by the customer. To this end, please ensure that you record and/or keep any and all shipping and tracking numbers and/or notifications made directly to you by the shipper to you the purchaser, until such time as the shipment is in your personal possession and in ‘as shipped’ good condition. Any claims made based upon shipping issues must be made directly to the shipping service/agent based on the information they provide to you to undertake the same by you, the purchaser.  This is not the responsibility of Range Sports Inc. as we are completely removed from the shipping process or the shippers’ quality controls once the products are left in their possession for shipping by Range Sports Inc.  Moreover, Range Sports does not receive direct payment for shipping charges to Canada Post that are charged to the customer by the Shopify platform during the online purchase process, nor does it profit from the same.  Shipping fees paid and profits from the same are made directly to Canada Post, as an example, by the Shopify platform during the process.
